BOI Strengthens Partnership with UN Global Compact to Drive Sustainable Development

The Bank of Industry (BOI) recently had the honour of hosting the senior leadership of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) during a courtesy visit to its headquarters. The high-level delegation, led by Tolulope Lewis-Tamoka, Chief of Government Relations & Africa, engaged in strategic discussions with BOI’s Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Olasupo Olusi and senior executives on advancing sustainable development initiatives in Nigeria.

As the foremost development finance institution in the country, BOI reaffirmed its commitment to fostering responsible business practices, strengthening partnerships, and driving sustainable economic growth. The discussions highlighted key areas of collaboration aimed at aligning BOI’s impact-driven interventions with global best practices in sustainability.

BOI remains a proud participant of the UN Global Compact, championing ethical business conduct through its six thematic focus areas closely aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through these focus areas, the bank actively promotes sustainable industrialization, gender inclusion, environmental responsibility, and economic empowerment.

This visit marks another step in BOI’s ongoing efforts to leverage international partnerships for long-term economic development.
